I first met Jen at a fashion shoot I filmed and she was one of our models. What a natural! It made my job as a cinematographer extremely easy when you’re working with a pro! Fast forward a couple months and I was filming her wedding day. I have to say that this was one of the most gorgeous and elegant weddings I have ever filmed. Jen and Hau really outdid themselves for their big day. Every detail was immaculate, from her exquisite wedding dress to the fantastic cotton candy tree. I am deeply thankful to Jen and Hau for the chance to film such an awesome wedding!

This was one of the most emotional weddings I have ever filmed. I’m so thankful that Lilly and Kwok asked me to film their wedding. We started the day with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony at each others’ homes. The ceremony was at the beautiful Talamore in Ambler, PA. We then filmed at the historic grounds of Highland Mansion and Gardens in Fort Washington, PA. It’s really amazing and humbling to be given the opportunity to capture moments of pure emotion that is so deep and profound. It was hard not to tear up at this wedding and I hope you enjoy this little peek into their special day.

I was really excited to shoot Min and David’s wedding in Brooklyn, New York. From their immaculate waterfront, high-rise residence to the gorgeous venue at The Palm House in The Brooklyn Botanical Garden, the whole day was filled with beauty and elegance. There were endless gardens filled with blossoming flowers, towering weeping willows and amazing architecture. I am truly thankful that I was able to film their wedding day.

I shot this wedding at a gorgeous venue called the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove. There was so much natural beauty all around the venue. I am so thankful that Esther and Chris asked me to film their wedding. They were such a beautiful and fun couple! I really loved all the style elements they put into their wedding. It was an awesome day filled with gorgeous details, great people, beautiful weather, and stunning locale!

Jane and Anthony are such a fun couple and it was obvious to me throughout the day that they’re not only a great couple but the best of friends. The venue was amazing which was part of a brand new casino. The live band that they had was fantastic! I was blown away by their performance. They were that stellar. Having a live band at your wedding is awesome!

When Roy and Jessica asked me to shoot their wedding I was truly honored. They flew in from LA to have their wedding in Springfield, PA. They are such an amazing and beautiful couple. From the moment I met Roy and Jessica I knew they were a perfect fit! I could see how much they loved and cared for each other. The ceremony was so beautiful and profound. I was given the incredible honor to shoot a wedding for my two friends, Dave and Linda. I’ve known them for three years now and was thrilled and humbled to be asked to shoot their wedding. The bond they share is truly beautiful. Watching their relationship blossom from friendship to husband and wife made shooting their wedding deeply special for me. Lovely wedding I shot featuring the paebaek which is a Korean wedding custom. Enjoy!

Paebaek is a Korean wedding custom that is traditionally held a few days after the official ceremony, with only family members present. The ceremony begins with the older couple seated on cushions behind a table in front of a painted screen, with the newlyweds opposite them. The newlyweds perform a deep bow which begins standing and ends with the newlyweds pressing their foreheads to their hands while kneeling on the floor. The bride may present the groom’s parents with jujubes and chestnuts, which symbolize children. A variation will have the newlyweds offering cups of wine, usually cheongju. The bride offers the cup to the father, and the groom offers the cup to the mother. Sometimes the parents will then also offer the newlyweds cups of cheongju or soju. The older couple then shares some wisdom on marriage from their advanced experience. Finally they will throw the jujubes and chestnuts back at the bride, who has to try catching them with her wedding skirt.

In the United States, this ritual is held a few days before the ceremony. The bride may also receive gifts of money in white envelopes.

Modern Korean weddings have incorporated the Paebaek ceremony after the reception. The original Paebaek was exclusively for the groom’s side of the family to be introduced to the new family member, the bride. In current day Korean weddings, they have also allowed for the Paebaek ceremony to be with the brides side of the family also.

Commercial services exist to assist those unfamiliar with how the ceremony is performed.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Julie & Aaron!!!! I was so blessed for the opportunity to shoot their wedding. This wedding was right outside of Philadelphia and the venue was a beautiful barn house! Such an amazing and beautiful couple! Every wedding I shoot I get to witness a miracle of love. I was fortunate enough to shoot Gina and Peter’s wedding. Just loved shooting at historic Valley Forge National Park in such gorgeous weather. The venue was beautiful at Valley Forge Military Academy. It was awesome shooting in the beautiful chapel and the cadets added a very special touch to the wedding. Everything was perfect.

The Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L IS USM Macro is one amazing lens. It is without a doubt razor sharp! The Image Stabilization is so quiet. I love that you don’t hear it when recording in video. It is made from engineered plastics so it it pretty light but has a solid feel to it. I love the textured feel on the lens body too. The autofocus is pretty quick. This is one of the most fun lenses to use. Enjoy this flute of brut rose in macro!
